Data cleaning, matching and enrichment

Most reporting problems are not reporting problems. They are two systems that disagree about the same customer.

What it covers

Cleaning and normalization

Formats, units, names and addresses brought to one standard, with the rules written down rather than applied once by hand.

Deduplication

One customer, one record. We match entries that differ by a typo, a legal form or a missing field.

Joining sources

CRM, billing, spreadsheets and external data matched into one view, with a documented confidence level per match.

Enrichment

Missing fields filled from public sources or classified with a model, with the origin of every value recorded.

How the engagement runs

01

Assess the data

We measure how bad it actually is: duplicate rate, missing fields, conflicts between systems.

02

Agree the rules

Which source wins a conflict, what counts as a match, and what has to be reviewed by a person.

03

Run and verify

Processing with a report of every change, so the result can be checked rather than trusted blindly.

04

Keep it clean

The same rules wired into the inflow of new data, so the problem does not come back in three months.

Frequent questions

How accurate is record matching?
It depends on the data, and we state the expected accuracy after the assessment rather than before. Every match carries a confidence score, and anything below the agreed threshold goes to a person instead of being merged silently.
Will you overwrite my data?
No. We work on a copy, deliver a full report of proposed changes and apply them only after you accept the result.
Is this a one-off or ongoing?
A cleanup is one-off, but it stays clean only if the rules also apply to new records. That second part is usually the cheaper half and the one that actually decides the outcome.
